Boxes full of Easter symbols, smashed Easter eggs and prayer butterflies were all part of a fun-packed workshop for 60 youngsters at Guildford Cathedral yesterday ( 15 March).

Children from St Peter’s C of E Primary School, Farnham were the first to try out the Cathedral’s new ‘Canvas Cathedral’ – a luxury marquee – for size.

The children, who were all around seven years old, came along to take part in the Cathedral’s Easter 2016 Workshop and explore the events of Holy Week; the week that changed the world.

This included re-enactments of The Last Supper, a workshop focusing on the sounds of Good Friday, making class banners to commemorate the Resurrection and making an Easter Box to take home and tell this remarkable story with their families.
